    GNR Set U.S. Dates

    Source: Anti-Music.com 04/17/06

. New Yorkers will have a sneak peak at the current incarnation of Guns N' Roses before they head over to Europe a string of festivals this summer. Axl and company have booked two New York city dates, their first U.S. shows in three years.

The Gunners are set to invade the Hammerstein Ballroom on May 15th and 17th, with tickets going on sale this Friday (April 21).

Welcome to the guessing game. As is always the case with Guns N' Roses, some things still remain a mystery. The primary one at this point aside from when the long awaited Chinese Democracy will hit stores, is who will be filling the lead guitarist slot. Two big rumors making the rounds have either Slash returning to the fold or John 5 joining the band. The John 5 rumor, originally reported by Talking Metal podcast, gained some momentum last week when his new band Loser was unexplainably let go by his record company weeks before their album was to hit stores. Some speculate that his joining GNR would have prevented him from promoting that album so the label dropped the group. We may have to wait and see who shows up to the gigs next month before we have an answer.
