Pretty sad news today. The famous and historical Balinese Room in Galveston has been completely destroyed by Hurricane Ike last night. Tracy Conover played there many times, I saw her there 9 times at least, it's really sad to see this place gone. This place was built before WWII. Frank Sinatra played there many times and ZZ top wrote a song about this famous nightclub. Tracy said today she was upset and sad that this building no longer exist. She even tried to go see it for a last time before the hurricane but could not go on the island...
Speaking of Tracy, she's in Houston right now, working on new material with bassist Roger Tausz. They dont have electricity but they do have coffee so apparently, they're fine!
